Location: Angers, France
Project year: 2011
In 2011 as a subcontractor of Power Solutions - Italy Brunata delivered 107 substations for the district heating network of Angers, France. The project included supply, installation, commissioning and testing of equipment. The capacity of the substations started from 250 kW up to 3 MW.
Brunata’s work was part of a global project for transformation and expansion of the district heating network in the neighborhood La Roseraie, including reconstruction and replacement of substations. In the primary network, which runs from the boiler to secondary networks located in each building, transport heat (130 °) was done at high pressure. It is now at low pressure and at a lower temperature (90 °), and therefore it leads to a less heat loss.
La Roseraie is the most important part of the city Angers (Maine-et-Loire). It currently has about 24,000 inhabitants in nearly 8,500 housing (55% social housing). The demographic context (fewer people per household) has led to a steady decline in population since 1990. La Roseraie is considered the southern outskirts of Angers.
Anger is a city in western France, about 300 km southwest of Paris, and the chef-lieu of the Maine-et-Loire department.
The 2009 the population was 147,305 people.
